courtesy, lack of
in sending out well-wishing smses to just about every j1 in my phone, i shouldn’t have hoped for replies of thanks.. through moral education and such, it has been drummed into one to ‘give without hope of gain’, but i couldn’t help but feel rather disappointed when i checked my phone this morning to find that only a fraction replied. last night, i wanted only to message the few people who were important to me, but then i thought, heck, it feels really nice to receive encouragement during such stressful and trying times, so i messaged as many j1s as i could find inside my phonebook. i guess i should just rationalise it away- perhaps they were too stressed, too nervous, they forgot about the sms, they didn’t reply cos they’re too busy mugging..
but the disappointment doesn’t go away.
thank God for the replies i received, which were very heartwarming, thank God all those who mattered to me replied, thank God that i’d been right in loving them more over others. thank God for amirahh, jaesh, dom, rosey, yingda and shibin. xoxoxo.
i wonder, how true is it?
